After days of continued high need, including an increase in trauma cases and surgeries, Lifeshare Blood Centers is reporting a critical shortage of types O-positive, B-positive and B-negative blood. Lifeshare is urging all area residents who have types O and B blood to please donate as soon as possible. All blood types are needed, but O-positive, B-positive and B-negative are in critically short supply. Donors may give blood at Lifeshare’s main location on North Mall Drive in Alexandria, or where ever you see the teal-blue and white busses. For more information, visit lifeshare.org.
