The Pet Pages

Here at Opus Broadcasting, we treat our pets like family!
We know how heartbreaking it can be when one of your fur-babies wanders away from home. We wanted to find a way to help wayward pets get reunited with their owners, and so, The Pet Pages were born!

If you, or someone you know, has lost or found a pet, we will help you find it a home. All you have to do is send an email to and we will create a listing for the animal which will be featured it on all of our Opus Broadcasting websites.

Please include a description of the animal, where it was found/lost, a contact name and number, and a photo [if possible]. Just get us the information and we'll take it from there!

The Pet Pages also feature local pets that are up for adoption. These pets come from area animal shelters or humane groups and are looking for a happy home.

Caddo The Artful Beaver

How cool is Caddo?! Caddo the Artful Beaver is at the Alexandria Zoo! You can find out more about Caddo, or how to buy one of his masterpieces, by clicking on the link below.

Do you remember the story about the orphaned baby beaver that was saved by a women last year? Here is a rundown, Amanda Clingan, of Shreveport, rescued the beaver from flooded 12-Mile Bayou when he was a month old. She named him Caddo and set out to raise him until he could go to the Alexandria Zoological Park.

One day, she dabbed finger paint on his paws and tail and turned him loose on canvas so she could have a keepsake — and an artist was born. And now one of the rescued beaver’s paintings will be unveiled at the Shreveport Dog Park fundraiser.

Here are the details: A painting done by a beaver named “Caddo” will be one of the items up for bid at the upcoming fund raiser for the regional dog park “Wine and Beer Tasting with a BITE!” on January 14. Caddo paints with his paws, claws and tail; his work is all original and has been compared to that of Monet and Jackson Pollack. All money earned from his paintings goes to charity. Caddo got separated from his family after a flood in Twelve Mile Bayou when he was about a month old. He was rescued by a good citizen that fed him, held him and taught him to paint.
